Maybe you’re feeling stuck or like you desperately need something to shift in your life. Things may feel unbearable at times. You want relief and improvement but also don’t know where to start.
You might feel uncertain if anything can really help or wonder if therapy is worth the time, money, and effort.
I get it. I’ve also been there. That’s why I have understanding and plenty of room to sit with whatever worry, doubt, or fear you have. I’ll meet you where you’re at today and genuinely care about what you’re going through.
I believe it’s important for our innermost worries and concerns to be SEEN so they can be addressed and helped. You don’t have to hide yourself or how you’re really feeling with me. I’m good at sitting with the hard stuff and will help you towards your goals of growth and being the best version of you.

I grew up LDS but no longer attend. Some individuals want a therapist who shares their religious beliefs and others want a therapist who understands what it’s like to step away & find a new path.
I’m confident I can create a safe space for you regardless of your beliefs as I do not have an agenda for your personal belief system.
I regularly work with active members in the LDS church or of other faiths as well as individuals who are atheist or agnostic. I find value in each person I work with.
I’m focused on helping you heal. If religion is helpful in your healing process, please use it as a support. If religion is a source of pain, let’s help you process and heal.

I sure do. I meet with my therapist (your grand-therapist) at least every other week to make sure I’m taking care of myself and can show up as my best therapist self.

Not really. They share a minimal amount about me but hopefully help create some feelings of safety. I don’t expect you to be vulnerable and not know a thing about me.
Sometimes I might briefly share or relate to something if it feels helpful with what’s coming up in the session but you are paying for sessions so sessions should be about YOU.
I’ll decline answering anything I don’t feel is helpful and help keep the focus on your healing.
I also am open to any feedback as we go. It won’t hurt my feelings. I’ll just be grateful you spoke up so we can address concerns.

Stephanie Abeyta, LCSW
Education & Experience
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. After completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology, I went to Boise State University for my Master’s Degree in Social Work.
I’ve worked in teen residential units, inpatient for mental health crisis, and for the past 3 years I’ve been working outpatient. I have 3 year of experience providing Ketamine Assisted Therapy and found it helpful in my own therapy journey too.
I enjoy working with both teens and adults.
Trainings & Modalities
I frequently use CBT, EMDR, parts work (IFS), and SFT but customize sessions to each person.
I completed my EMDR training in 2021 while I was an intern and jumped right in! Seeing the progression of clients utilizing EMDR therapy in sessions solidified my trust in it being a very helpful and effective modality. I still regularly seek out consultation so I can keep improving my skills.
I am also IFS informed and enjoy incorporating parts work into EMDR. Doing parts work with my own therapist sparked my desire to learn more and utilize it in sessions with my clients. I started with reading books then attended an IFS training by Richard Schwarts (creator of IFS) in 2024.
Outside the Therapy Room
I love spending time with my husband, daughter, and pup. We like getting out even if it’s just a quick visit to Gardner Village or Scheels.
I enjoy hiking, running and working out at Orange Theory Fitness.
I usually have several books I’m reading at a time and am part of a cute book club.
