EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidenced based therapy that helps reduce distress linked to traumatic memories and stuck negative beliefs. It’s especially helpful for trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to nudge the brain’s natural healing process so your nervous system isn’t stuck in the past. It’s an effective way to get to the origin of undesired symptoms you’re having and helps shift the intensity of memories, negative beliefs, and body sensations.

The process goes through 8 phases that I can share more about in a consult call or during our sessions together.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy

Research is showing that ketamine surges a production of glutamate which seems to result in the antidepressant effects. Ketamine also seems to allow for regrowth of synapses while improving neuroplasticity.

Combining ketamine with therapy can be an effective way to help with treatment resistant depression and unhelpful thought processes.

I offer individual ketamine assisted therapy sessions, integration sessions, and group ketamine assisted therapy.

IFS Informed Therapy

I am an IFS informed therapist and enjoy doing parts work with clients. Parts work looks at various parts of your personality that sometimes are in conflict with each other. We’ll explore protective parts that try to keep you safe and far away from pain. I’ll also help you get more connected with “The Self” - the most true/ authentic version of you that’s already inside you but sometimes feels out of reach because of conflict, pain, and unresolved trauma within.

We’ll take a loving, curious, and compassionate approach as we get to know the parts inside you and why they do what they do.

Trauma I have experience with includes but is not limited to:

  • Medical trauma can be tricky to deal with since our nervous system tends to lock in memories or experiences it views as threatening or overwhelming.

    Often times procedures and treatments for chronic conditions can impact the body and mind in a significant way.

    The good news? You don’t need to suffer through these debilitating symptoms.

    I utilize gentle EMDR therapy protocols to help lessen triggers so the nervous system can feel less distress from the impact of past, present, and future treatments.

  • No matter when the abuse or assault happened (childhood, teen years, and/ or adulthood), the impact can be hard to navigate. Sometimes you might feel okay… just to have something trigger what you’ve tried to push to the very farthest part of your mind.

    I utilize EMDR therapy and parts work to help individuals address traumatic events to help the nervous system and hurt parts of you release distress and find more empowerment so you can feel better in daily life and relationships.
